THE CITY PAW CLUB

How it works

Five steps for you, roughly a week of careful drawing for us, and then a parcel arrives with your pet looking unreasonably important.

  1. 1

    Choose your city

Pick from our illustrated cities or ask for somewhere personal. Each city has its own illustrated backdrop of landmarks, transport, weather and local snacks.

    Takes 30 seconds

  2. 2

    Tell us about your pet

Name, breed-ish description, markings, and the bit that matters most: personality. If they sit like a gremlin or have one ear that never quite works, tell us.

    Takes 2 minutes

  3. 3

    Upload three photos

Three clear, well-lit, full-body photos. JPG, JPEG, PNG or HEIC. We use all three to get proportions, colour and expression right.

    Takes 1 minute

  4. 4

    Choose your T-shirt

Size, colour and quantity. Our tees are heavyweight unisex pure cotton with a relaxed fit and a soft hand-feel print. You can also add a digital copy of your illustration for £8.

    Takes 30 seconds

  5. 5

    Review and pay

Check everything, then pay securely by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. UK postage is free; international shipping is calculated at checkout.

Three photos, like these

Here are the exact reference photos we drew Sesame from. Nothing fancy, just clear daylight, full body, and that folded ear visible in at least one shot.

  • Sesame, a grey and white cat with one folded ear, sitting on a wooden floor looking up at the camera

Full body, daylight, one folded ear on show. A perfect reference photo.

  • Sesame curled up on the platform of a beige cat tree beside a window at night

Holding court from the top floor of his tower.

  • Sesame sitting on a patterned rug next to a laptop, staring into the camera

    Studio supervisor. Unpaid, unqualified, unavoidable.

Photo guidance, briefly

The better the photos, the better the portrait. We are good, but we are not psychic.

Do

  • Full body, all four paws visible
  • Natural daylight, near a window
  • Camera at your pet's eye level
  • One photo showing key markings

Please don't

  • Heavy filters or black and white
  • Blurry action shots
  • Screenshots of screenshots
  • Photos where your pet is a distant dot
